Orthopaedium™ A/Synchronised, Heavy Duty Task Chair is a new concept in back care office seating, and has been designed and developed to our specifications by the manufacturer of the Orthopaedia range of back care office chairs.

This totally new design incorporates a spine shaped backrest with excellent lumbar, kidney and thoracic support. The backrest uses high density foam for comfort which is also used to cover the back of the fully upholstered backrest, giving a feel and look of distinction. For functionality and comfort, the seat utilises a fabricated matrix of coil springs encompassed within it's own frame and covered with high density foam. Coil sprung seats are a unique feature designed by this manufacturer and offer an extremely high level of comfort as well as being 100% functional. The coil springs reduce, and probably more importantly, equalises the pressure on the sciatic nerve, sacroiliac joints and pelvic girdle, three of the most common causes of back pain in sedentary workers, other than injury. The result is a reduction in the levels of stress on the bodies' structure.

Orthopaedium™ has also been developed to accommodate a large inflatable lumbar panel for additional comfort if required, and a highly functional, infinitively adjustable headrest. The optional head/neck support will offer support to those suffering from Spondylosis or whiplash injuries, or indeed, just for the added touch of opulence. The choice of arms is either without or with Height Adjustable Foldaway Arms which offer a great deal of flexibility. To add even more functionality, there is an option to allow the arm pads to pull forward approx 25mm to offer greater support.

For an office chair of this calibre we have specified a fabric of distinction and performance which carries a 5 year guarantee as standard. The fabric is 100% pure new wool and in keeping with current environmental issues uses non metallic dyestuff and is 100% compostable.

Orthopaedium™ Orthopaedic Office Chairs were designed and are handmade in the United Kingdom by experienced craftsmen. Delivery is normally 4 weeks from receipt of order.

Orthopaedium ™ has a manufacturer’s warranty of 7 years for normal use. The fabric has a 5 year manufacturer’s warranty
